The first batch that I tried to make didn’t seem quite right. There was not enough avocado. The second batch wasn’t sweet enough. The recipe you see below is actually my third batch. I guess what they say is right, because the third time was the charm!
After making Honey Frozen Yogurt and Mango Frozen Yogurt, I knew the next flavor I wanted to try was avocado. I still had a few avocados left over from when I made Avocado Nutella Spread so I put them to good use.
1 1/2 cups avocado puree
1 cup Greek yogurt (I used Chobani)
1/3 cup white sugar
1. Mix the avocado puree, Greek yogurt and sugar together in a freezer proof bowl until the sugar is completely dissolved and mixture is blended.
2. Place the mixture in the freezer for about thirty minutes to an hour.
3. Check to see if any ice crystals have formed. If so, mix until everything is smooth and creamy!
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the mixture is frozen completely. Most recipes say this will take anywhere from 2-4 hours.
