On our last day in Vegas, we decided to catch brunch before driving back to Salt Lake City. My friend found a recommended place called BabyStacks Café which was known for their breakfast and lunch dishes and so we headed out there.
When we arrived, there was already a line of pending diners and a wait of 40 minutes. As we weren’t in any hurry, we stayed and preoccupied ourselves with looking through the menu.
BabyStacks Café offers a huge selection of breakfast staples like pancakes, omelettes, benedicts, and waffles and also lunch staples like burgers and hot sandwiches. Since we were there for brunch, I stuck with their breakfast menu and ordered a hot tea with milk to start off.
By the way, am I the only one that always orders tea with milk if not coffee with breakfast foods? The waiters/waitresses always look at me weird as if they’ve never heard of tea with milk before. In any case, onto breakfast!
Everything looked so good on the menu that I wasn’t sure what to get. Eventually, I chose the Cowboy Omelette which was four farm-fresh eggs with ham, pepper, onions, mushrooms, and cheddar served with a side of fresh red salsa. Instead of the two buttermilk baby-stacks that came with the omelette, I opted to substitute for Red Velvet Pancakes! I’m SO glad I did!
As soon as my friend and I saw the Red Velvet Pancakes listed, we knew we had to order them. Red Velvet Pancakes topped with fresh whipped cream, chocolate crumbles and cream cheese syrup. Even the description is to die for!
My picture does not do these pancakes justice. They were the softest, fluffiest, and most scrumptious pancakes I have ever had! And the cream cheese syrup was the sweetest icing on the top. The omelette was good, but the pancakes better!
All I can say about BabyStacks Café is that this place is totally worth the wait. It is only opened for breakfast and lunch, but I would go out of my way to visit again to order another stack of Red Velvet Pancakes and maybe try one of their pancakes or crepes or lunch sandwiches.
What are you waiting for? Wherever you live, you have to go to Las Vegas just to try these pancakes out!!
BabyStacks has two locations nearby each other. Since they are only opened for breakfast and lunch, their hours of operations are from 7 am to 2 pm on weekdays and 7 am to 3 pm on weekends.
