I hope everyone had a safe, warm, and amazing New Year’s! ^_^
This year was the first time that I went out after many many years of staying home. When I had my own apartment, I would have some friends over for pizza and we would play video games before watching the ball drop. After moving away from the East Coast, I would end up watching the ball drop with my East Coast friends and then kinda stay awake until midnight passed. This year, I went out with some friends to watch Back to the Future on a big screen, received free champagne from some random nice drunk guy who would not take no for an answer (seriously, he was giving everyone around him free champagne), danced for hours in the most comfortable pair of shoes ever, and ended the night with some free entertainment (multiple “classy” girl fights at the club). Such a fun night!
A lot of important things happened for me during 2012. I visited family in Vancouver/Richmond Canada. I started this blog and made a few foodie friends. I became friends with some girls here in Utah that I’m so glad to have met. I reconnected with a few old friends as well. I finally bought myself one of my dream cars, the Mazda Rx8, which meant having transportation after being car-less for about four years, and I decided to go back to school to further my career. All in all, not a bad year.
While 2012 was a good year, I have bigger and better plans for 2013. This year has already started on a good note.
Here are a few goals I am hoping to achieve for this blog in 2013.
~ Every other Monday Cooking Challenges with Chiko of Chiko’s 543. We will attempt to make one Chinese (mainly Cantonese) dish every other week. Dishes we have been craving or things we grew up eating.
~ Every other Monday themed monthly Recipe Bucket List (aka Cooking Challenges) that I have set for myself. Mostly sweets I have been itching to try, some of which I have been intimidated by.
~ A few guest posts by some of my food blogging friends from around the world.
~ A site update to make searching and interacting a lot more user friendly.
~ Hopefully, better photography and much better writing on future posts.
These are things that I am, and I hope you readers will also be, looking forward to. ^_^
What did you do for New Year’s? Do you have any goals or plans for 2013?
