When I think of Leatherhead, I think of Leatherhead from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I’m glad to say that Leatherheads Sports Grill bears no resemblance to the villain on the children 80’s television show.
We started with the Spinach & Artichoke Dip, served with pita bread or tortilla chips. The pita bread was really soft and I preferred the pita bread over the tortilla chips with the dip. There was too much cheese though and it made the dip very chunky.
Mr. Munchimunch ordered the Leatherhead Burger, a classic third pound patty with jalapenos, pepperjack cheese, and chipotle aioli, topped with onion rings, lettuce, pickled onions and tomato. While he enjoyed the opportunity to intake spiciness, he didn’t enjoy the burger or the fries.
I ordered the Garlic Burger, a classic third pound patty seasoned with fresh garlic then topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. There was something off about this burger so I didn’t finish it.
Out of all the garlic burgers that I’ve tried, ‘Bout Time Pub & Grub still has the best garlic burger I’ve tried. I’ve mentioned on twitter that a return visit was in my horizon. I’m thinking the sooner, the better!
Leatherheads didn’t leave an impression on me. The food wasn’t that great and did not sit well with Mr. Munchimunch and me. I would not recommend this place at all.
