Dasks, located right by ‘Bout Time Pub & Grub, is one of the first places that I have ever eaten at in Utah so I have fond memories of this place. I’ve tried almost everything on their menu since then and have a few favorites.
Because we arrived right before they closed, Mr. Munchimunch and I decided to place an order to go.
I almost never see Spanakopita available so when I saw a slice, I had to order it. It was nothing like my original experience with Spanakopita Pie at Eva’s Bakery. The crust was soaked and soggy on the bottom as though they did not squeeze the excess water from the spinach before cooking. The filling itself was extremely sour and bitter at the same time. I couldn’t stand more than a mouthful or two of this piece.
I ordered a Beef & Lamb Gyro combo with a side of Rice Pilaf and a drink. The menu offers the Gyro by itself, or as a plate/combo which comes with side dishes and/or a drink. Pretty convenient I think. The meat was a bit dry, but still tender, and the pita was super soft. The pita as well as the tzatziki sauce are my favorite parts!
Not shown here, but also recommended, would be the Pork Souvlaki, Traditional Greek Salad, Zucchini Sticks, and the Pastrami or Bacon Burger. I have also enjoyed those throughout multiple visits.
Dasks only has one location, but I am totally willing to drive there to grab something quick whenever I have a Greek craving!
