Blue Iguana, a was a hard place to find for someone isn’t familiar with its location, but even at its semi hidden location, the place was bustling inside.
We started off with some complimentary chips and salsa as we were perusing the menu. I had to look through the menu several times because there was such a huge selection of dishes!
Mr. Munchimunch always takes the opportunity to order something spicy when we’re out eating. Since I can’t handle any spice, I rarely cook spicy dishes at home. He chose the Chile Verde Chimichanga, a deep-fried burrito smothered with tomato sauce and cheese, served with sour cream, guacamole, rice, beans and pico de gallo. He definitely liked his dish!
Since I couldn’t decide on a specific type of meat, I ordered the Fajita Combo which came with beef, chicken, and shrimp and was served with rice, black beans, tortillas, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. The meat was juicy and tender and the whole dish had tons of flavors and spices. I savored each and every bite!
We finished off with a piece of Flan. It had the most perfect silky smooth texture! Unfortunately, this had too much of a bitter and coffee aftertaste for us to completely finish the piece.
Blue Iguana is definitely a great place to visit for tasty Mexican food. I totally recommend visiting and ordering the fajitas! =)
